Ubud

Ubud is very famous among tourists and foreign tourists. Ubud it’s a part of Gianyar regency. It is located between rice fields, forests and ravines which makes the natural scenery in Ubud very beautiful. Ubud is also very well known for its art and culture which is developing very rapidly and progressing. Tjokorda Gde Agung Sukawati (1910-1978) he was a king in Ubud. Many of his services are invaluable in building the progress of civil civilization in Bali. At that time, Ubud was in the transitional era of the movement towards the independence of the Indonesian nation. He brought a big change that was very influential in Ubud, Bali. The name Ubud comes from the word ubad (Balinese) which means medicine. Because around the Campuhan Ubud area, many medicinal plants are found for traditional treatment.
